FAAC Releases Wireless Linking of Dual Gate Openers
Jacksonville, FL (PRWEB) June 27, 2012
FAAC released a new line of commercial gate opener, the DS2000 series, that are pad mounted, include a back up battery hookup, and has plug in loop detector ports like other popular commercial gate openers. What is new to the gate opener industry is the option for a wireless connection between the primary and secondary motor.
Since the inception of gate openers a double swing driveway gate requires a motor on each side of the driveway with a wire connection between the two linking them in coordination. A long time complaint and money loss activity is fishing connection wire under driveway to link the two motors. FAAC released a transmitter and receiver combo, the WMS100, to reliably connect the two motors to synchronize through a wireless radio frequency connection.
Dave, a frequent installer for GateCrafters.com, said in regards to the wireless connector, “The more manual labor you can cut form a job the better possibility there is for an installer to make money on the installation. Then it comes down to how well trained on the skilled labor the installer is and that is where we like to compete. Running wire under the driveway on an existing property is definitely a time drain.”
One of the technicians at GateCrafters.com, Joel Dimeo, said, “We are all eagerly awaiting to see how these work out in the market. If there is reliable communication between the two motors this could be a big improvement for our DIY customer as well. We will be looking to expand this into more gate opener lines.”
