Mystery Suspense Novel Tells a Haunting Tale of Greed, Deceit and Murder

La Quinta, CA (PRWEB) October 03, 2012

Everyone thought that everything was going her way but they were all wrong. An ambitious, focused businesswoman climbed over the railing and jumped from the edge of the Golden Gate Bridge into the dark waters of the night. No one knew the exact reason why such a woman who is so much afraid of the dark would do such a terrible thing.

Look Into The Darkness written by James E. McDowell is the first in a series of mystery suspense novel that tells a haunting tale of greed, murder, deceit, power and jealousy which involves the wealthy Sullivan family. It started when Carol, the daughter of Jack Sullivan allegedly committed suicide when she jumped to her death from the Golden Gate Bridge.

Carol was a successful, positive and upbeat businesswoman but an emotionally bothered wife to her estranged husband, Davis. Her company was in the process of making a giant step into the multi-national corporation before the crime took place. Her father died in January, her mother in April. She was married but is on the brink of divorce. She used to live with her husband in Palm Desert until recently, when she purchased a townhouse in Monterey. At one point, she became involved in an intimate affair with Jerred Butcher, a construction foreman for Durham Construction.

When Marsha became Jack Sullivan’s second wife; she became the Executor of the Trust, and inherited six stepdaughters, of which Carol was the most resentful towards Marsha. After the death of her father in January, each of the Sullivan daughters was to receive their first annual payment from the Living Trust. The Sullivan Estate is a Living Trust, specifically designed to keep the money in the family. If someone dies, the shares get larger for the survivors. All of the money goes to the survivors as an income for the rest of their lives. This amount is roughly around three-hundred thousand dollars annually.

What could have possibly made Carol want to take her own life? Was there a foul play? Who profits most by her death? Will she be the last victim? What other secrets do the Sullivan Family keeps that is about to unravel?

Look Into The Darkness is one intriguing, exhilarating and entertaining read with so many twists and turns. It allows readers to follow Private Investigator Bill Ramsey and how he unravels and solve the Sullivan family crime mystery.
