  2. POPULAR RETIRE MECCA of course because gringos take advantage of our social security, evade taxes, and bride corrupt goverment officials to get what they need such as to build a house or a business on a nacional wildlife protected area, evade certain construction permits, imigration issues, gringos dont want costa rican culture in CR instead they want to have a USA in Costa Rica.Enjoy while you can because lots of things will change for the good of CR

  3. Just got back from Costa Rica………..Aruba is way, way, better. San Juan Costa Rica downtown look even worst than the worst part of Mexico.
Products there look like cheap Chineese crap.

  7. @luigihope by the way, your country is very beautiful and I would like to visit it one day.

  8. @luigihope Haiti and Nicaragua are third world countries, your country is not. Are you saying that your country is like them?

  9. @md991free Dude, I am a 34 y costarican, thanks for the lesson. I know what my country is.

  10. @luigihope Costa Rica is not a third world world country, is a developing country. Unemployment is around 9%. The population is highly educated and the country has been very stable compare to other countries in Latin America for the past 50 years.

  11. Very good. I lived in Costa Rica for a while and really liked it. That was back when it was a little cheaper than it is now. I have been living in Thailand now for 9 years and like it but miss the Latin culture.

  13. @wilshils You could easily do that here. The country loves entrepreneurs, but get ready for some bureaucracy to get all permits. Hey, it is still a third world country right!!

  14. Very interesting, we are a Scottish couple in our late 50’s looking to move.
I have my own plumbing company, could I possibly start something like that their?

  15. Would a retired person employ a western person like me if it got the job done quickly and still at lowish cost? I know local labour is very cheap but can take a long time for them to turn up?

  16. I would like to visit and see if this where I could call home. The USA is ok yet a new land sounds fun.

  17. wow, I hope Rush Limbaugh sees this. After all, he says he’s leaving the United States since we HAVE PASSED HEALTH CARE REFORM!!!

  18. Hi Super.. You must show a retirement income of not less than $600. per month, which must be deposited in one of their banks. If you are younger you’ll have to show $1,000 a month income from outside the country. You can’t work there unless you open a business. Want a nice building lot for about $22,000 let me know.
