   Michael Ball is the optimum Tony in this great recording. I like it even better than the 1997 recording, but that may be because Michael Ball is a god and does everything so well. I recently played Maria in my local company and to hear Barbara’s lovely voice reach those high notes is almost religious. The company used this recording as a basis for our production. “Something’s coming, something good” Nope, its already here.
