Californians Turn on to VoterBuzz
Bradenton, FL (PRWEB) April 11, 2012
Five California politicians are among eight new subscribers since March 24 to join VoterBuzz, a groundbreaking political app.
The burst of interest in California includes two state-level candidates, two county supervisor candidates and one person running for a city council seat. In addition, the new subscribers include a U.S. Senate candidate in Nevada, a county commission candidate in North Carolina, and a mayoral candidate in Florida.
“As candidates begin to focus intensely on their 2012 election campaigns, they are realizing VoterBuzz is not only an effective tool but also extremely affordable,” says Andrea Torkelson, founder of VoterBuzz LLC. “We look forward to this trend continuing.”
VoterBuzz recently decided to monetize itself by joining the Ad Network, an online marketing company that specializes in matching advertisers with publisher channels. In doing so, VoterBuzz dropped its subscription price to as low as $ 10 a month.
The app also added expanded capabilities in March that include the ability for candidates to post videos and photos. Eligible subscribers include candidates at any level of government, as well as political committees and organizations.
VoterBuzz is an interactive mobile app that empowers candidates and political groups to build grassroots support, receive feedback from voters, post news, and receive contributions. It also empowers voters to follow campaigns and groups of their choosing.
Candidates from California who have joined on since March 24 include Amenak Nouridjanian of Los Angeles, a candidate for the State Assembly; Steve Young of Costa Mesa, running for the State Senate; Jim Hildreth of Sonora, for county supervisor; Stephen Pate of San Diego, running for county supervisor; and Brett Lee of Davis, running for city council.
Other new subscribers are Richard Charles of Crystal Bay, Nevada, a candidate for the U.S. Senate; Kim Ratliff of Charlotte, N.C., who is running for a county commission seat; and Vince Gaskin of Fort Pierce, Fl., a mayoral candidate.
