You’ll be blessed & comforted reading this book on Grief!, 15 Dec 1998
    By A Customer

Zig Ziglar shares his own story of his daughter Suzan’s death and his own grief. By doing so, his words remind us to look to God, who gives us comfort and encourages us and deepens our faith and understanding. The book helps to show us that God will help us get through the difficult times not only in our own grief, but in ministering to others who are experiencing grief themselves. We first purchased Zig Ziglar’s book “Confessions of a Grieving Christian” to give to our son when he lost two very good friends in an accident. At that time, we only purchased one copy for our son. We began reading and looking through it before we gave it to him, and just couldn’t put it down so we then obtained a copy for ourselves as well. We have had the pleasure of hearing Zig Ziglar speak in person before. He’s well known around the country as a motivational speaker who shares his humor and enthusiasm. This book has encouraged and blessed us. Our son has read it through and is now sharing with other family and friends what he has read in hopes of helping them through their grief. I write this in memory of these two young men who died and their families who are grieving their loss.

Reassuring walk for all people of faith, 27 Nov 1998
    By A Customer

Just a week after returning to work after the sudden loss of my father found me face-to-face with this book. I have read and heard Mr. Zigler in the past and enjoyed his inclusion of faith in his work but was anxious to read how he and his family dealt with such a tragic loss. I read half of the book on an airplane later that day and was moved to tears several times. Mr. Zigler connected with those who have experienced a close loss as well as preparing those readers who have not yet experienced such a loss. That evening found me staying up much too late to finish the story. Mr. Zigler does a remarkable job comforting others through sharing his family’s trials during the death of his daughter. A gripping highlight of the book was the journal kept by one of his son-in-laws at the hospital over the last week of his daughter’s life. He is able to take you to the scene and reflect the many emotions a family experiences during such a time while giving access to what must be an extrordinary group of people.

This review is from: CONFESSIONS OF A GRIEVING CHRISTIAN (Hardcover)

The journey Zig took following the death of his daughter is immensely moving. He speaks courageously of roller-coaster emotion and potentially overwhelming challenges. Throughout, there is Faith. His Faith. Ultimately, Zig comes through with his entire family touched and stronger. Now, I understand more about the past and am better prepared for the future.Confessions of a Grieving Christian
