Government Security Leaders Participate in Panel Discussion at RSA Conference 2012

WHAT: W. Hord Tipton, CISSP-ISSEP, CAP, CISA, executive director of (ISC)2, will moderate a detailed discussion with front-line government security leaders at RSA Conference 2012 entitled: “Good Security on a Government Budget? Government CISOs Do More with Less.”
WHY: Trying to secure government assets and infrastructure against increasing threats when budgets are being cut and hiring freezes put in place is one of the biggest challenges facing government security officers today. However, by establishing key relationships, planning for change, maturing and documenting processes and evolving the way they manage security initiatives, many CISOs are using this challenge as an opportunity to be more efficient and effective in their security efforts. In this 70-minute panel discussion, four government CISOs will detail the strategies and best practices that are enabling them to do more with less, comply with new regulations and successfully safeguard organizational information against increasingly complex threats.
