London, UK (PRWEB) April 28, 2012

Stephen Fry once spoke at a technology conference saying the internet is like a city: there are shops and cinemas, there are red light districts and areas where children shouldn’t go on their own. The IMRG, the UK’s leading e-retail trade body, set out to make sure that the paths that were safe to tread with their Internet Shopping Is Safe (or ISIS) Accreditation Scheme in which participating retailers are auditted against best practices for selling online, including terms of use, shipping and returns information, product description and customer service. Clip on earring specialist retailer http://www.make-me-beautiful.co.uk are proud to announce their full accreditation under the strict ISIS codes of conduct has been acheived.

“I’ve long been a beleiver in voluntary participation in schemes designed to set standards and raise the bar for retailers,” spoke Make Me Beautiful’s founder, Misae Richwoods. “The first scheme I ever joined was called the Web Trader programme by consumer watchdog magazine, Which?. Participating in it meant learning and adhering to all current laws and regulations and setting up good processes within our company so we could deal efficiently with customer needs. It stood us in good stead as were already well within the practice and the spirit of ISIS by the time we opted in. Nonetheless, we’re delighted to have been recognised as fully compliant with such a strict code – there’s 19 pages of pointers to work through!”

ISIS was launched in 2001 by IMRG, the UK’s industry association for e-retail. More than 1,200 websites, including small boutiques as well as high street retailers such as Marks & Spencer, Boots and Top Shop have signed up for the accreditation.

ISIS retailers must prove they are trading in a legal, decent, honest, truthful and fair manner; therefore you can expect an efficient, reliable safe experience on their sites.

The ISIS accreditation achieved by Make Me Beautiful joins it’s membership of the British Jeweller’s Association and other trade bodies such as The Fashion Network and The Ethical Fashion Forum as a firm supporter of the customer and of quality retailing experiences.
