Pop star Alicja Le has already taken European music by storm. Now, she’s joining forces with Reciprocity to make her much anticipated debut on the American music scene. With their unique fusion of pop, old and new school R&B and acid jazz, Reciprocity and Alicja Le have formed one of the world’s most creative, eclectic, up-and-coming bands.
Meet Reciprocity featuring Alicja Le on October 5, 2011 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in Atlanta, Georgia, where they will be performing a showcase and rehearsal at JPat Studios. The band will discuss and debut material from its new album and introduce the U.S. music industry to its remarkable sound.
Reciprocity featuring Alicja Le draws from an amazingly diverse group of musical influences, including Whitney Houston, Tupac Shakur, Christina Aguilera and Ella Fitzgerald. The result is a soulful yet modern sound, deeply emotional but also fun and pleasing to the ear. The band loves to weave positive messages into its truly unmistakable musicality.
October 5th will let everyone at the studio meet the talent behind the band. Lead singer Alicja Le, hailing from Poland, uses music as an extension of her vast life experiences, indulging her love and loss, her faith, her family, her highest highs and lowest lows. As a triple threat who sings, dances and acts, she puts every aspect of her mind and body into all of her performances, from live concerts to intimate events. She comes from an accomplished music background, having attended the esteemed Hanns Eisler University of Music in Berlin for jazz. She sings and writes in five different languages.
Le has become a household name overseas, appearing on MTV, Viva & Top of the Pops in Germany. Her single, “Take My Heart” with the German band Ohne Namen, went gold. She has also performed with European artists Oli P, Ayman and Melendiz. For the past four years, Le has worked with various recording artists and producers in Atlanta, the Carolinas and Indiana.
Le is joined In Reciprocity by drummers John “JSmooth” Howard and Derrick “Decky” Brooks; Vic “Vicious” Clayborne on bass, bass keys and background; Davy “Quickdraw” Collins on lead and rhythm guitar; and musician/producer Christopher Blackwood, a.k.a. “Chris G. Black.”
